
Traditionally, wassail was an old English drink of spiced ale or mulled wine served especially on Christmas Eve andTwelfth-night. This wassail recipe is non-alcoholic and kept warm in a crock pot. It's easy to make and always a hit at our parties.
Servings: 20 Serving size: 8 oz Preparation time: 20 minutes
Ingredients 1 quart hot black tea *1 quart cranberry juice 1 quart apple cider 3 cups orange juice 1 can frozen lemonade concentrate 1 1/2 cup brown sugar 3 pieces cinnamon stick 12 whole cloves 3 orange slices *I stay away from cranberry cocktail because it uses so much corn syrup. | Directions 1. Steep tea bags until tea is medium strength. 2. Combine ingredients in a large pot I use a crock pot), placing cloves in a tea ball. Bring to boil. 3. Reduce to simmer for 5 minutes. Remove spices. 4. When ready to serve, float orange slices on top. |
